Yee family, Masse’s Seafood taking over Brunelle’s Marina Dockside Restaurant in South Hadley, planning improvements, new name

 Luke Brunelle, owner of Brunelle’s Marina on the Connecticut River in South Hadley, said he’s a pretty good restaurateur for the Dockside — but only in the winter. “When I’m not doing any boat business,” Brunelle said. “In the summer, there is just too much going on. I just can’t pay enough attention and I can only hope I made the right decisions back before the season.” The decision he made this offseason was to bring in old friends — the Yee family, longtime owners of the former Hu Ke Lau in Chicopee and current owners and operators of other eateries including The Student Prince Cafe and The Fort Dining Room in Springfield, and the Rondeau family behind Masse’s Seafood in Chicopee — to run the Dockside.
