WWII aircraft land at Westover airport in Chicopee (photos, video)
Three pieces of World War II aviation history landed this week at Westover Metropolitan Airport. Commemorative Air Force brought a B-29 Superfortress named “Fifi,” a C-45 Expeditor named “Bucket of Bolts” and a T-6 Texan legendary trainer. The tour arrived on Wednesday and offers people a chance to get an up-close view of the planes as well as the ability to tour the giant B-29 cockpit and step back in time and see how the air crews lived and worked as they flew the premiere bomber of the war.
