White Lion Brewery moves equipment into Tower Square in downtown Springfield
Springfield will soon have a brewery downtown. White Lion Brewery moved their brewing equipment into their new space in Tower Square on Thursday. The company has leased 10,000 square feet within Tower Square, with plans to open a production and packaging facility with taproom in 2019. The space was once occupied by Spaghetti Freddy’s but has been vacant for more than a decade. White Lion was previously in talks to build a brewpub in the MassLive building but faced setbacks due to engineering concerns, The Republican reported.
