White Hut sale finalized; food truck to open at West Springfield location during renovations
White Hut — or at first a food truck version — will reopen at the iconic Memorial Avenue location after May 18. Investors Andy Yee and Peter Picknelly announced Thursday that they have finalized the purchase of the business, which closed in February, from Edward J. “E.J.” Barkett, third-generation owner of the White Hut on Memorial Avenue. His grandfather founded White Hut in 1939.
