The 439th Airlift Wing at Westover Air Reserve Base added nearly $194.5 million to the local economy in the 2018 budget year, the base said Tuesday.  That includes a payroll of nearly $120 million in 2018 and $13.1 million in construction funding.  What it doesn’t include is the economic impact of the 2018 Great New England Air and Space Show, according to the release. The air show generates $11.6 million in local spending, according to a 2015 UMass study.
