Westfield Technical Academy receives $108,000 grant for electrical technology

Westfield Technical Academy is benefiting from a $108,000 state grant. The electrical wiring technology department applied for the grant in February and will replace out-of-date equipment, including tool kits, table tops, stools, lockers, a powered conduit bender, a PVC conduit bender, a vacuum/blower fishing system, a powered cable puller and new motor control equipment. According to Superintendent Stefan Czaporowski, WTA has received other funding from the state Skills Capital Grant Program in the past.
