Westfield River Brewing expands event space, brings food in-house
Westfield River Brewing Co. is evolving once again. From humble beginnings in a small building in Westfield to its current location in a refurbished barn at 707 College Highway, WRB has come a long way. The latest evolution is the expansion of its event space and the addition of food service. In the past, WRB offered food through vendors working in the WRB kitchen. For nearly two years, Skyline Trading Co., now located on Elm Street in Westfield, served up homemade sandwiches, soups and its signature pretzels. When Skyline needed more space and branched out, Grandaddy Frank’s Barbecue took over the WRB kitchen. But WRB owner Sergio Bonavita said customers wanted more than just barbecue, so he decided to bring the food in-house.
