Westfield OK’s tax incentive for James Hardie plant expansion

James Hardie Building Products, the manufacturer that bought the former old Colony Envelope and National Envelope plant last year, could invest an additional $12 million to $18 million at the site and hire more people. That’s if it gets a tax incentives from the city and state. The Westfield City Council voted 10-1 in favor of the agreement, a tax increment financing, or TIF, agreement Thursday night.
