Wellspring Harvest marks 1st anniversary, preps for harvest showcase
Wellspring Harvest, the first commercial hydroponic greenhouse in the city, celebrated its first year of operation Wednesday by showing off the food growing on what had been the Chapman Valve site. “We’ve learned a lot about running a hydroponic farm in the last year,” said Fred Rose, co-director of Wellspring Cooperative Corporation . The farm began in August 2018 with lettuce deliveries to four Big Y supermarkets.
