Wahlburgers restaurant opening at MGM Springfield delayed
The Massachusetts Gaming Commission on Thursday granted a one-year extension to MGM Springfield to open a Wahlburgers restaurant at its casino in the city’s South End. The commission voted 5-0 to set a new deadline of July 8, 2020, for the opening of Wahlburgers, but MGM officials say they anticipate an opening prior to that date. As recently as late March, MGM Springfield said it was hoping for a late 2019 or early 2020 opening.
