Wahlburgers groundbreaking at MGM Springfield set for this month
A year after movie star Mark Wahberg visited MGM Springfield to announce that his Dorchester-bred family would open a Wahlburgers restaurant at the $960 million casino, a date for the ceremonial groundbreaking has been set. Wahlberg brother chef Paul Wahlberg, Springfield Mayor Domenic J. Sarno and MGM Springfield President Michael Mathis will turn ceremonial shovels of dirt Friday, Sept. 20. Wahlburgers will have its food truck there for the celebration.
