The Republican named best Sunday newspaper in New England
The Republican and Sunday Republican were honored this week as the best Sunday newspaper in New England and a distinguished weekday newspaper by the New England Newspaper and Press Association. The Republican also received a Publick Occurences Award for its coverage of the arrest of Gary Schara last September for the 1992 slaying of Lisa Ziegert in Agawam. The honors were awarded at the fall conference of the regional news association at the Crowne Plaza in Natick.
