‘The Prudential,’ Holyoke’s tallest office building, sells at foreclosure auction; new owner seeks partners in redevelopment

The New York City man who held the mortgage on 274-276 High St. bought the office building at a foreclosure auction Wednesday for $380,000. The property is known as the Prudential because, at eight stories, it’s one of the tallest buildings in Paper City. The sale allows investor Roy L. Felshin a chance at recouping the money he loaned on the building by either redeveloping it himself or selling it through conventional means. Once a foreclosure is in process, the foreclosure auction is the only way to put the property in new hands and with a clear title.
