The Big E buys vacant Memorial Avenue building for $1.5M
The Big E has added to its 175-acre footprint in town, recently buying a closed day care center at 915 Memorial Ave. for $1.5 million. The property — a one-time Burger Chef restaurant — is located at the corner of Memorial and Circuit avenues at the Eastern States Exposition’s well-used Gate 9. The deed was recorded in the Hampden County Registry of Deeds on Oct. 9.
