The Ad Club of Western Massachusetts Announces Jury for the 2019 Creative Awards

The Advertising Club of Western Massachusetts, the area’s foremost non-profit organization celebrating creative excellence in advertising, video, photography, and design, today announced the creative leaders selected to serve as judges for the 2019 Creative Awards (www.adclubwm.org/events/creativeawards2019). Our jury represent more than fifty years of award-winning industry experience. They will judge work stretching from the Berkshires into the Pioneer Valley, and from Vermont to Connecticut. They have worked agency-side, client-side, in higher education and beyond. The Ad Club of Western Massachusetts is honored to host this panel of judges to help make the 2019 Creative Awards our biggest awards show yet! Let’s meet the judges…

Kevin Mann is a Creative Director working in upstate New York. An industry veteran with 30+ years of experience, Kevin has worked at big agencies like Leo Burnett Worldwide and eventually started his own firm, Campdesign. Kevin has worked on a wide range of clients — from small nonprofits to national brands like Johnnie Walker, McDonald’s, Keebler, and Kellogg’s. Kevin also served as an Adjunct Professor of Advertising at the esteemed Newhouse School at Syracuse University — the #1 communications program in the country. He has over 200 students working and excelling in the ad world and beyond.

Anna Rubino is the Strategic Design Leader at BIC, where she collaborates with a variety of teams to drive standout creative work and translate competitive data and customer feedback into award-winning visual strategies. For two decades, Anna has built her career in the for-profit and nonprofit worlds by creating award-winning work for Costco, Dollar General, Staples, Target, Hobby Lobby, Wal-Mart, and Sam’s Club — along with numerous community initiatives and local nonprofits like The Get In Touch Foundation’s crusade against breast cancer.

Robert Comire is a Creative Director at LEGO, where he leads award-winning creative teams as they tell stories that travel around the world via integrated campaigns and branded content stretching across digital, social, broadcast, and retail. Robert has also worked on the agency/client side working for a variety of iconic brands including Gatorade, Hallmark, Kellogg’s, MillerCoors, MTV, Nickelodeon, and Wendy’s. Robert’s work has received industry recognition from AIGA, AdClub, American Advertising Federation ®ADDYs©, CLIO Awards, Communication Arts, Graphis, and HOW Magazine.

“The quality of jurors has long been a hallmark of the Creative Awards” said Brenda McGiverin, Board President, The Ad Club of Western MA. “This year’s jury consist of the industry’s top tier of creative minds and achievers. They will judge work through the lens of creativity of ideas and quality execution.” Finalists will be notified no earlier than one week prior to the Advertising Club’s awards event, May 9, 2019.   The 2019 Creative Awards will take place on Thursday May 16th at Union Station, Northampton, MA. The Western Massachusetts region is quickly turning into a creative powerhouse and this award show highlights the best of the best.
