State demands more detail in plan to close inpatient beds at Providence Behavioral Health Hospital in Holyoke
The inpatient beds at Providence Behavioral Health Hospital in Holyoke are an essential service, and and operator Mercy Medical Center has to provide a more detailed plan of how and where people can get help if it’s to complete its plan and close those beds, according to a decision issued Friday by the state Department of Public Health.
