Springfield Union Station preps for a bigger, busier 2018
The people behind Springfield’s Union Station knew the place was popular. But they weren’t necessarily expecting 10,000 to 12,000 people over for Thanksgiving. That’s just a rough estimate of the crowd that streamed through Union Station over that holiday weekend, said Paul M. Stelzer, president of Appleton Corp., a part of the O’Connell Companies, which manages the building.
