Springfield Union Station Platform C elevator ready, awaits Amtrak inspection
The new elevator at Union Station’s completely rebuilt and handicapped-accessible Plattform C is ready for use and awaiting Amtrak inspection. Christopher Moskal, executive director of the Springfield Redevelopment Authority — the agency that owns the historic station — said he doesn’t know when that inspection will take place. He said he’s been kept up to date by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation.
