Springfield seeks redevelopment of vacant Main Street apartment building

The city is seeking developers to rehabilitate an apartment block in the North End that’s been vacant for over seven years. “The residential market has been stronger as of late, including multifamily, and we wanted to be sure we exhausted any redevelopment opportunities with the property given its historic nature before advancing other alternatives,” said Brian Connors, the city’s deputy director of economic development.
