The city is seeking bids for the demolition of two vacant buildings along the Central Street corridor, a key milestone as the city prepares to begin a long-awaited, $3 million corridor improvement project. Christopher Cignoli, the city’s director of public works, said Thursday that once the demolition work begins, the city will be ready to advertise for bids for the road reconstruction project. The road project in the Maple High-Six Corners area should be ready to begin Oct. 1, he said.
