With the closing of CityStage nearly a month ago, city officials and the Springfield Parking Authority have not yet announced any plans for the authority-owned site, including potential future uses and capital improvements. In addition, there is no information yet regarding what impact the closing of CityStage has on MGM Springfield’s contractual commitment to underwrite and present performances at downtown entertainment venues, including CityStage, in 2019 and beyond, officials said.
