Denise R. Jordan, who has served as chief of staff for Mayor Domenic J. Sarno since he took office a decade ago, has been appointed executive director of the Springfield Housing Authority. The five-member authority, which oversees public housing in Springfield, selected Jordan by unanimous vote from among three finalists for the job. Final interviews occurred last week and the appointment was confirmed Monday. The appointment is pending state review and drafting of a contract. “I’m excited at the opportunity to help be a part of the Springfield Housing Authority,” Jordan said Monday.
