Springfield grants liquor license for ‘high-end, classy’ downtown sushi restaurant – masslive.com

The License Commission approved a liquor license Thursday for a new sushi and noodle restaurant that plans to open the first week in April on Worthington Street.  The new restaurant, BarKaya, will open at 278 Worthington St., at the former location of the Shadow Lounge. It is adjacent to Art-e’-Pizza and complements the city’s efforts to enhance the downtown dining district, said attorney Daniel Kelly on behalf of the new business.
