Springfield church receives cornerstone from historic building
After struggling to keep up the church building they worshiped in for nearly 70 years, members of the Gardner Memorial AME Zion Church regretfully sold their church in 2015. But on Wednesday, the cornerstone of that building was turned over to Rev. Samuel Saylor and members to help preserve the history of their parish.
