Springfield-built Orange Line cars get first daytime T tryout
The T tested Springfield-built Orange Line trains for the first time Friday during regular service hours, giving Boston commuters their first glimpse of the new cars from CRRC MA.The MBTA has been testing the cars for months, said spokesman Joe Pesaturo. But Friday was the first time they were tested in between trains running with passengers aboard. The CRRC trains will start hauling passengers for the first time in early spring, Pesaturo said.
