Software company moving to Westfield from Northampton to get tax break from city

The Westfield City Council Thursday voted to give Myers Information System a Special Tax Agreement of $39,380 over six years. The tech company owned by Longmeadow resident Crist Myers is moving to the city and will receive a tax break of 100-percent the first year and 75 percent the next five years. Myers Information Systems is a 36-year-old media software company that specializes in television and radio software programs. The company is currently located on Hawley Street in Northampton and Myers said last month he plans to be operating in Westfield next spring. Myers purchased 110 Elm St. for $375,000 and plans to renovate the interior of the three-story building that was most recently occupied by Stella’s Taproom.
