Simply Grace, a collection of shops in downtown Springfield begun three years ago as a holiday pop-up, was lauded Wednesday by the U.S. Small Business administration as it prepares to expand with a hair and nails salon. “I remember when we were praying for $100 in sales for a week,” said co-owner Mikki Lessard, recalling a touch-and-go transition into a year-round enterprise. “I remember when we fought the winter doldrums because you all in Springfield stay in your offices when it’s cold out.”
