Requests for housing assistance up during coronavirus crisis, according to Way Finders; Springfield agency gets new state grant – masslive.com

The region’s largest nonprofit housing agency is getting a funding boost from the state as it works to respond to a spike in housing needs due to the coronavirus pandemic.  Gov. Charlie Baker’s administration has added $5 million in statewide funding for the Residential Assistance to Families in Transition program, including $455,297 for Way Finders to support residents in need of housing assistance in Hampden and Hampshire counties.
