Providence Behavioral Health will end inpatient services in Holyoke, close Mill Street methadone clinic in Springfield
Mercy Medical Center announced Friday that it will end inpatient psychiatric services at Providence Hospital as of June 30. Providence will also move services at its methadone clinic on Mill Street in Springfield to a methadone clinic in Holyoke, also by June 30. Mercy and its owners, Trinity Health Of New England, cited serious psychiatrist shortages that will prevent its future ability to provide safe, quality care.
