Plans to convert Chicopee downtown mill to apartments submitted, could help redevelop downtown

A proposal to convert a downtown vacant mill into a modern apartment building with 105 live-work lofts is officially getting underway. Mount Holyoke Development, owned by Herbert Berezin, has applied for a special permit to renovate the former 65,000 square-foot, five-story historic mill at the corner of Front and Depot streets, that was most recently used by Lyman Mills.
