Odyssey Bookshop in South Hadley reaches fundraising goal, prepares for reopening
The Odyssey Bookshop went to its longtime fans last month with an urgent request for donations, money needed to keep the 57-year-old shop operating during the coronavirus shutdown of the brick-and-mortar retail economy. On Friday, owner Joan Grenier said the shop reached the $60,000 goal of its gofundme appeal and that she’d spent the day paying bills. More than 700 different donors answered the call.
