The city is planning to establish a new athletic field behind Duggan Academy and a $250,000 grant from the New England Patriots through the National Football League Foundation Grassroots Program will go a long way towards making that plan a reality. The grant from the Patriots, NFL Foundation and Local Initiatives Support Corporation is part of the second round of $3 million in field refurbishment awards allocated this year.
