MGM Springfield, Spectacle Management tout experience as they compete for Symphony Hall management contract

The presidents of the two companies competing for a long-term city contract to manage Symphony Hall touted the experience of their companies and praised the opportunity offered at the historic building. MGM Springfield, which opened a $960 million casino in August downtown, and Spectacle Management Inc., of Lexington, which manages various entertainment venues in eastern Massachusetts and Cape Cod, submitted competing proposals to manage Symphony Hall by Monday’s deadline. The proposals are under review by city officials and being kept confidential during the evaluation.
