The city is reportedly negotiating with MGM Springfield to manage the municipally-owned Symphony Hall after considering competing proposals from the casino giant and Spectacle Management Inc., of Lexington. Timothy J. Plante, the city’s chief administrative and financial officer, confirmed he is negotiating a contract with the preferred management company, but that the review committee is not revealing the firm yet.
