MGM announces roadway projects in Springfield and West Springfield; city also lists projects
MGM Springfield has released a roadway construction advisory for the weeks of May 14 and 21, in and around downtown Springfield and West Springfield to improve certain roadways, intersections, sidewalks and traffic signals in advance of the resort opening on Aug. 24. MGM Springfield is investing $5.5 million and the city of Springfield more than $1.4 million in improvements and enhancements known as “Main Street Refresh.” MGM is overseeing work that includes: intersection/travel signal improvements, utility upgrades, roadway reconstruction/paving, and pedestrian/bicycle enhancements (including handicap accessibility).
