Dr. Robert Roose, well-known in the commonwealth for his expertise in the area of substance abuse disorders, has been named chief medical officer for Mercy Medical Center, which is part of Hartford-based Trinity Health Of New England. Roose, who most recently served as Trinity’s regional chief of addiction medicine and recovery services, fills the position left vacant in February by the departure of Dr. Mark Dumais.
