Mayor’s Chief of Staff Denise Jordan gets state OK to lead Springfield Housing Authority
Denise R. Jordan, longtime chief of staff to Mayor Domenic J. Sarno, has been approved by the state to lead the Springfield Housing Authority. The five-member authority, which oversees public housing in Springfield, unanimously selected Jordan to be the agency’s next executive director in May. But her appointment was delayed pending drafting of a contract and review by the state Department of Housing and Community Development.
