MassHire Hampden County Workforce Board

It is with personal regret but warm wishes that I am announcing the retirement of David M. Cruise President and CEO of the MassHire Hampden County Workforce Board, effective February 2024.

David’s leaving marks the end of an era for MHHCWB. David has led this dynamic integrated workforce planning organization for more than decade and has countless workforce development achievements and recognitions to show for his efforts. He has been a skilled strategist, business partner and convener, leading his team to develop innovative solutions for reemployment for laid off workers, training programs for new workers, and internships for youth. I have been awed by his tireless devotion to the community and his relentless pursuit for quality jobs for the residents of Hampden County. His contributions has assured Hampden County success for decades to come.

The MHHCWB Board of Directors has established a Search Committee that will be convening soon to identify the organization’s next leader. Information on the position can be found online at www.masshirehcwb.com . For your convenience, I have also attached the job posting and would ask that you share this exciting opportunity with colleagues in your professional and social media networks to help us generate a robust applicant pool.

We will honor David for his contributions at a later date but for now please extend our best wishes to David on his decision to retire.
