Mapleline, other Western Massachusetts farms share $5.5 million in state grants

Julia Coffey, owner of Mycoterra Farm, a mushroom grower in South Deerfield, started 2020 with 50 restaurant accounts and deals to provide farm-fresh fungi to Smith College, Mount Holyoke College and others. Then came the coronavirus pandemic and shutdowns of restaurants and college dining halls — kitchens that are only starting to reopen seven months later.
