Manufacturers gather in Westfield for pig roast, networking

Nearly 100 people in the precision manufacturing industry and associated businesses gathered Monday night for the 13th annual Mainline Drive Pig Roast, sponsored by the Western Massachusetts chapter of the National Tooling and Machining Association.It’s a chance, said association president Kristin Carlson, for business networking and socializing and to raise some money for the Larry A. Maier Memorial Education Fund. Named in honor of Carlson’s late father, the fund supports and promotes manufacturing education for children in fifth grade and up.
