The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced grants totaling more than $4.3 million to the city and a Greenfield-based organization to help with the mission of ending youth homelessness in Springfield and Franklin County. David Tille, the New England regional administrator for HUD, announced that the grant awards to Springfield and the Community Action Pioneer Valley in Greenfield were two of just 23 awards nationwide.
