Home Depot looks to hire 300 in Western Massachusetts, 80,000 nationwide
The Home Depot plans to hire 300 additional workers this spring in Western Massachusetts. The number includes jobs at seven stores across the region. The jobs are a mix of seasonal and permanent part-time, according to a news release from The Home Depot. The jobs include sales and cashiers to operations and online order fulfillment. The Home Depot has stores in Chicopee, Greenfield, Hadley, Pittsfield, West Springfield, Westfield and Wilbraham and a distribution facility in Westfield. Nationally, the chain is looking for 80,000 employees this spring. College students, retirees and veterans are encouraged to apply. The company doesn’t release the standard wage and says the rates of pay vary based on the market, the candidate’s experience and the position.
