Holyoke, Amherst public schools receive $300K bilingual education grant

Amherst and Holyoke public schools will share a $300,000 bilingual education grant, the superintendents of the two districts said in a joint statement Friday. The money was awarded by the state Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Michael Morris is Amherst school superintendent. Stephen Zrike is Holyoke schools’ state-appointed receiver.
