High speed monorail commuter service would open doors for Massachusetts
Tim Brennan’s article on freight railroad’s playing a key role in Western Mass’s economy offers a good explanation of the role logistics and the supply chain play in our lives. “Freight railroads key to moving western Mass. economy.” But it misses an important point. CSX control of most of the rails makes putting commuter rail service east and west of Springfield a difficult if not impossible task.
