An aging baby boomer labor force, and lack of qualified younger workers to replace them, appears to be holding back the Massachusetts economy, but economists with MassBenchmarks are not warning of a recession.  The state’s economy contracted two-tenths of a percentage point in the third quarter, according to the most recent report from MassBenchmarks, part of the University of Massachusetts Donahue Institute in Hadley.
