Hayden Corp. of West Springfield marking its 100th anniversary
Hayden Corp., in the words of its retired president John O. Hayden, is in the business of throwing spitballs against a stucco wall and making them stick. Only employees at Hayden, located in a nondescript building along the railroad tracks at 333 River St., hurl those spitballs with a rocket engine, said his son and current company president Daniel C. Hayden.
