Grant program could provide money for security upgrades for Massachusetts nonprofits

A $150,000 grant program included in the state budget could help Massachusetts nonprofits afford security updates to their buildings. “It’s very important that we provide these organizations with this type of funding, because a lot of them are shoestring organizations that don’t have the budget to put these types of protections in place,” said state Sen. Eric Lesser, D-Longmeadow, who sponsored the amendment for the grant program.
