Environmental report on proposed Westfield industrial park finds no impact to aquifer

 A draft environmental impact report says the proposed Westfield Turnpike Industrial Park is not detrimental to city water, a main concern of project opponents. The 265-page report states that the project “will not impact aquifers used for potable water, such as the Barnes Aquifer.” In accordance with the Massachusetts Environmental Policy Act, the report provides additional information and analysis about the proposed project. An Environmental Notification Form was completed in the spring, followed by comments from the public that are addressed in the report.
