We are happy to announce that we are moving to a new location at 45 Lynman Street in downtown Springfield. We’ve built a strong network of support, and with this new location, the women, transgender and non-binary people we serve will have a physical space to meet in person to deepen their connections.
Our new location will provide easier access for our clients and room to expand services. We are thrilled that our new location is close to Union Station and the main bus terminal, making us more accessible for public transit users. Having space for offices, a meeting room, and a computer lab will also be transformative because we will have additional space to provide services and programs to reach more women.
We hope to have minimal interruption of services during the transition to the new space. The organization’s programs ― Foot in the Door, Digital Literacy Coaching, The Margaret Fitzgerald Mentorship Program, and the Professional Women’s Group ― are not being affected by the move. Appointments for interview clothing and work apparel are paused and will resume on or before Aug. 1, 2023. During this transitional period, we cannot accept clothing and accessory donations.
Over the next couple of weeks, as we set up our new site, which will include setting up racks, hanging curtains, and moving boxes and furniture, we could use your help! Please use the button below to register for a time to volunteer.
As always, financial support is greatly needed and appreciated. Financial donations to support our programs can be made through the website at www.dfswm.org.
We thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to sharing with you our growth and the increased impact we will have when we settle into our new home!
