Downtown Springfield is gearing up for a frosty spectacle as the much-anticipated Downtown Springfield Ice Invasion descends upon our city, promising a whirlwind of winter wonder and icy enchantment. From dazzling
interactive ice sculptures to warm & toasty activities, this event is set to be a highlight of the season, inviting residents and visitors alike to embrace the magic of winter.
Event Highlights:
● Ice Sculptures Galore: Marvel at the craftsmanship as talented artist, Joe Almeida, showcases intricate
designs from blocks of ice. From interactive fun to intricate structures, each sculpture is a work of
frozen art. Don’t miss the ice carving demonstration!
● Live Music: Feel the rhythm of winter with live music from Floyd Patterson! Groove to the beats as you
explore the icy wonderland.
● Hot Soup Bar: Warm up your taste buds with a piping hot bowl of soup from Nadim’s delectable hot
soup bar. A variety of flavors will be available to tantalize your palate and keep you cozy.
● Vendors Village: Explore our Vendors Village, featuring local businesses offering a diverse range of
products.
● Perfect Pre-Game Excitement: As the event concludes at 6:00 PM, you’ll have just enough time to head
over to the Springfield Thunderbirds Ice-O-Topes Hockey Game, carrying the festive spirit from our Ice
Invasion into the arena.
● Interactive Activities: Engage in family-friendly activities, including s’mores by the fire, air hockey, face
